This is an original, colorful and inspiring project shedding a positive look on women's curves and positive body image! Celebrating Curves of all shapes and forms. The Mozaïk Curves project is a collection of self portraits, photos, testimonies, poems and affirmations. The texts are written by the models, courageous women who are natural, artistic, proud, beautiful and intelligent.
1- Post a creative photo of you with the word « Curves » part of the same composition or a self portraits of you. Feel great about your body and express yourself in a creative and empowering way! See samples ideas bellow
2- The Mozaïk Curves project is celebrating the beauty of Curves of the human body and the challenge is not to use any clothing in this artistic expression, always tasteful and artistic!

I’ve learned that one’s body shape is not responsible for one’s beauty, charm, charisma, elegance, gentleness and seduction power, but rather the self-confidence that we let transpire. It’s all in our eyes and our self-confidence, our self-ease and our personality. Since I’ve realised all of this, it’s not seldom that the people I love tell me that I am radiant and that I look great. When I look at myself now, I see a provocative Annick, filled with sensuality, who lives gracefully with her body image. After struggling with my weight and body image for a number of years, I have finally gained confidence and happiness with my appearance. I accept that everyone is an individual and everyone is beautiful despite their shape and size. As an artist I am fascinated by the female body and the play of light and shadow across the soft curves of the female form. Curves are a beautiful thing and life is too short to worry.

I know very well that curves have been throughout history synonymous of seduction, beauty, womanhood, sensuality, sensuousness and motherhood. In the Middle Ages, round women were a symbol of wealth. We could not dismiss the works of art of Delacroix, Renoir, Botero, Rubens, Matisse, Ingres, which give a place of choice to luscious women. As for my part, I must say that our society is advocates performance and sends us continuous pictures of what beauty should be, that is to say a tall and slim woman. Fashion for round women is barely beginning to allow us to bring forward our curves in any womanly way without looking like potato sacks. My body transformed itself over the years and was sculpted during my two pregnancies. I want to show myself as I truly am: a woman with curves baring life. Mozaïk~Curves represents an opportunity for me to go beyond my inhibitions and learn to embrace my curves as they are. A project such as this one gives me a new motto, a sentence drawn from the work of Ronsard: Because the perfect consists of things round. May the Mozaïk~Curves project and this quote give me the happiness of showing my curves fully, shamelessly and without shyness! May the entire world say: Curves and roundness are made to be loved and admired!

I like the curvature of a beautiful peach, for me it seems natural. As the tree and the peach I love my whole body for every curve and every rondure. They are the features of my femininity, they are the reflection of the life which I gave, they are also the excesses of treats which I savoured, but above of all they are part of myself and my physical envelope which will be mine all my life. Avant j'étais super complexée, je ne supportais pas le regard des gens etc... Ce qui m'a amené à me décomplexée, c'est simple, j'ai commencé à faire des photos avec un photographe génial, qui as su me prouver que malgrés mes courbes généreuse, et mon poids, je pouvais être trés jolie et plaire quand même ! Depuis 2 ans maintenant je m'assume complétement, je met mes courbes généreuses en valeur! Je vis tout simplement sans me cacher derrière des vêtements trop larges, ou noirs... Aujourd'hui, je prend une belle revanche sur la vie, en faisant des photos, en vivant ma passion à fond. J'aimerais prouver à toutes les personnes aux courbes généreuses, qu'elles sont belles, et qu'elles plaisent. J'aimerais faire évoluer ce monde ou l'on ne montrent que des femmes minces... Celebrating Curves of all shapes and forms.
The subject of roundness and of slenderness could not be more actual. Nowadays, several women have difficulty appreciating their own body image. However, The Human Mozaïk chose to sing the praises of curves and of round bodies by inviting some forty women from across Canada aged from 18 to 50 years old to lend their forms to semi-nude photography and to unique artistic creations inspired by their curves. Each model’s curves and roundures were interpreted by different artists according to their respective styles, techniques and medium.
Besides from being a splendid artistic project on the promotion of curves and roundure, the Mozaïk~Curves book is also a collection of testimonies, poems and affirmations. The texts are written by the models, courageous women who become natural, artistic, proud, beautiful and intelligent. This is an original, colourful and inspiring project shedding a positive look on women’s curves and roundness!

Célébration des courbes de toutes formes.
Le sujet des rondeurs et de la minceur ne pourrait être plus actuel. De nos jours, plusieurs femmes ont de la difficulté à apprécier leur image corporelle. La Mozaïk Humaine a néanmoins choisi de faire l'éloge des courbes et des corps ronds en invitant une quarantaine de femmes âgées de 18 à 50 ans de partout au Canada à prêter leurs formes à des photographies semi-nues et à des créations artistiques uniques inspirées de leurs courbes. Les courbes et les rondeurs de chaque modèle furent interprétées par des différents artistes selon leur styles, leurs techniques et leur médium respectifs.
En plus d’être un projet artistique sur la valorisation des courbes et de la rondeur, il est aussi un recueil de témoignages, de poèmes et d’affirmations. Le textes sont écrits par les modèles, ces courageuses femmes qui se font à la fois naturelles, artistiques, fières, belles et intelligentes. C’est un projet original, coloré et inspirant qui jette un regard positif sur les courbes et les rondeurs féminines !
